7. Hike Tubbs Hill

This really should be a part of your every weekend, when made possible. Tubbs Hill is a breathtaking lakefront trail located in the heart and soul of downtown Coeur d'Alene. This 120-acre park, If you're unfamiliar, is adored by the community as one of the area's most accessible trails. The moderate ease of use and many trails make It an easy choice for individuals looking to incorporate nature into their daily workout routines, as well as families looking for a little outdoor adventure. You can find more information on the Friends of Tubbs Hill website, or get directions with Google.

6. Grab Coffee With a Friend at White Pine at 814

This cute and tiny little coffee shop is nestled away in the midtown strip, next to Bluebird. Grab a friend and grab a coffee - You can expect nothing but small-town charm from this place, and I can't personally help but strongly recommend giving them a visit. White Pine at 814 is known for its unique seasonal coffee flavors, made with homemade syrups, as well as their fine selection of bakery items baked in-house. 5. Grab Fresh Bakery Sweets & Bread at Pilgrim's Market in Cd'A

Let me start by informing you that you need not be a health nut to shop at Pilgrim's Market in midtown Coeur d'Alene. Freshly baked sweets and bread are only a couple of the specialty items you can discover at this cute one-of-a-kind small town health-conscious market. I have spent many summer days here grabbing a delicious salad full of locally grown organic veggies and meats - My personal favorite! In addition, I've always felt in love with the ability to mix the salad bar with their delectable hot bar full of home comfort foods you can't find at just any grocery store. Consider checking out their website to learn more about their different grocery store departments, as well as using Google to get directions.

4. Take a Walk In Downtown Coeur d'Alene

A personal favorite pass-time of mine - So maybe you could say I'm a little biased for including it in this post. But as simple as It really is, I couldn't recommend it enough for a cost-effective way to enjoy some time by yourself, with a friend over a long-overdue conversation, or your family. For a lighter walk, consider either the Coeur d'Alene Resort Boardwalk or some window shopping down Sherman Ave. For those looking for a longer route, consider including Coeur d'Alene City Park, McEuen Park, and maybe some Tubbs Hill If you're feeling up for a challenge! There's no shortage of unique environments to walk through in downtown Coeur d'Alene. Really, I drive multiple miles a day just to be able to walk around with Lake Coeur d'Alene in my view. I often find myself including a trip to one of my favorite coffee shops - Either Vault Coffee or Calypsos Coffee. Both make a perfect pairing to any good walk.

3. Grab a Burger At Roger's Ice Cream & Burgers

Maybe you're not a burger person - If so, I'm sorry you may need to skip to #2. I can't say I've ever been a huge burger person, but recent years and uncountable visits to specialty burger joints in Coeur d'Alene such as Roger's Ice Cream & Burgers have swayed my taste-buds. Now I finally understand why burgers took America by a storm! This adorable, classic burger joint on East Sherman Ave offers delicious hand-cut fries, huckleberry shakes, and most importantly... One of the best fast-casual burgers you'll likely ever have! If not for the food alone, we'd still highly recommend giving this location a shot for Its building and aesthetic alone. Get directions?

2. Shop, Walk Around a Park & Grab Coffee in Riverstone

Riverstone is a unique, glowing community neighboring the Spokane River. The property is home to many shops, residential townhomes, restaurants, and even a park with a beautiful pond and water feature. Take a morning or an afternoon and enjoy a walk through Riverstone Park, and say hello to all our geese friends. Find a book and grab a coffee, even a glass of wine at The Well-Read Moose. Shop for high-end culinary tools, delicious deli food, or grab a seat and a nice warm latte from The Culinary Stone, and The Culinary Stone Café. If you're feeling up for a nice night out on the town, maybe a delicious sushi dinner with a loved one, check out a local favorite - Sushi I. The possibilities for fun in this area are near endless for an enjoyable time.

1. Hike at Mineral Ridge

Last but not least - A semi-moderate hike at Mineral Ridge. For those who might not be familiar with this trail, here's a bit of an introduction. The Mineral Ridge trail is a small drive from downtown and boasts a 3.3-mile loop and outstanding views of Lake Coeur d'Alene once you reach the top. It's been known for Its great sightseeing when the bald eagles come to visit each winter. This trail has some limited parking, but that's about the only flaw I can think of. The incline is a little steep at times but stays moderately steady going up while between switchbacks. We love this trail for its easy timely distance from town, as well as the insane view you get to bask in before you start heading back down. I can't help but have a sweet spot in my heart for this trail as I recall many family memories, growing up and visiting Mineral Ridge - even posing for a family picture at the top. I can't say It'll be the most incredible trail you'll ever endure, but It sure feels special every time seeing our home from a different - familiar perspective.
