High-Intensity Roller Coasters

If you are a roller coaster fanatic and haven’t heard of Silverwood Theme Park, you are missing out. With rollercoasters that launch you hundreds of feet in the air with your legs dangling, this North Idaho region theme park and its’ high-intensity rides will leave you breathless and wanting more. If you like a ride that will thrust you upside down and swing you around to the point where you think you are on the verge of passing out, the Cork Screw might be the ride for you. Then, after you recover, you can run off to the Panic Plunge, where you slowly rise above the park and take in the scenery before abruptly thrusting back down. These high-intensity rides may leave you wanting to return to Roller Coaster Alley every chance you get!

Not particularly interested in potentially losing their lunch on the Cork Screw? If you want a more moderate experience, take advantage of the medium-intensity rides that create family fun for all ages. The Roaring Creek Log Flume has you seated in a giant log as your float around and are met with a steep decline at the end that splashes water everywhere. Don’t worry; the chances of you getting wet are slim. However, if you want to cool off, stroll to Thunder Canyon, where you will race down white water rapids. The likelihood of getting wet is around 100 percent, ensuring you are adequately cooled on a hot day. If you want to share an experience with the kids, hop on the Tiny Toot Coaster, where they can get the experience of a wild ride with the assurance that you are there to protect them.


Fun for the Kids

Family fun for all ages – seriously, they have a world of things to do for the younger kids. These low-intensity rides will make them feel safe while having all the fun in the world. Show your kids a safe and fun thrill on the Butterflier, where they will be seated on a giant version of the swing they are familiar with at the park at home. The difference is this one goes a little higher and offers a more thrilling experience. There are also classics, like the Merry Go Round and Ferris Wheel, where your kids can enjoy a more relaxing experience with you. If you are looking for some great memorable shots of your kiddos – Great for sharing with your family, the Flying Elephants is a fun and exciting ride where your kids will be lifted into the air on a giant elephant. It is an excellent rest for you to watch and an exciting time for them to ride.

Polliwog Park and Toddler Springs are good places for the young to have a safe and fun experience. The older kids can rush off to Velocity Peak, where they can experience a much more thrilling ride.
